The Wine Market is an annual event that promotes and publicizes micro and small productive activities, of superior quality and exclusive to Portuguese products. It aims to present new projects and winemakers, bringing small producers closer to the general public and encouraging the consumption of national products.
In addition to the definition of a set of partnerships with the media to promote contests with the offer of tickets for the event, a media contact plan was implemented to publicize the event. The communication work also focused on the organization of a programme with the Lisbon Region Tasting Board – “Conversations and a Glass of Wine”, a joint action with the “Wine in Moderation” programme to raise the awareness on the moderate consumption of wines, an exhibition “Da Vinha ao Vinho – as castas portuguesas” to share information on the Portuguese grape varieties and their aromas and the establishment of a partnership with the Associação Portuguesa de Surdos (Portuguese Deaf Association) to perform a guided tour with a Portuguese Sign Language interpreter.
More than 6,000 visitors, 100 pieces of news published in print, online and television and an equivalent to 250,000 euros of investment attest to the success of the initiative.
