Escher Exhibition

The “Escher” retrospective was first publicly displayed at the Museu de Arte Popular in Lisbon, produced by Arthemisia, a leading company in organizing large-scale art exhibitions. It brought together 200 works that included iconic pieces such as ‘Hand with Mirror Ball’, ‘Relativity’ (or House of Stairs) and ‘Belvedere’.

The exhibition had a vast communication plan that included programmes with schools (complete programme of didactic activities and pedagogical resources for school groups), media, as well as bloggers, instagramers and key opinion leaders.

Prior to the inauguration (selected previews), the inauguration (premiere) and throughout the exhibition, a broad set of activities took place that promoted the initiative. Many thousands of visitors: families, school groups, unconditional fans of the artist and inquisitive people made this show one of the most successful exhibitions ever held in Lisbon.
