The Gourmet Market has the best offer of gastronomic products from mainland Portugal and its islands. Its objective is to promote typical products and traditions of the respective geographical areas. Healthy products and a special focus on organic food are part of the concept of the event. A space that shares the launch of new products such as the Salys brand (seasoning in a healthy way), the Rodão à Mesa project, Transmontanices (the best and most representative products in the Trás-os-Montes region), ALPORC (black pork products of excellence from Alentejo), Azores Gourmet (liqueurs, tea and tuna from the islands), Fábrica de St. António (sugar cane honey cakes [broas], tangerine jams, from Funchal).
The communication plan focused on the establishment of partnerships with the media to promote contests with the offer of tickets for the event and a broad plan of contacts with bloggers and journalists from the food and gastronomy area, sharing and promoting the various aspects of the event. A set of pitches with the media were carried out exploring approaches from different angles depending on the profile of each media: interview with a new producer, presence of a chef in the studio to make a recipe, how to make ice cream with liquid nitrogen, etc.
Equivalent value to an investment of 323.313,24€, with 5 pieces on television, are excellent results that have attracted more than 10,000 visitors.
